May 27, 2015 the Governor of Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania in the Russian Federation Remigius Motuzas. The meeting took place on the territory of the multimodal logistics center Freight Village Vorsino, it was also attended by the representatives of Lithuanian companies.
The Head of the region discussed with Remigius Motuzas and other members of the delegation the prospects of cooperation between Kaluga region and the Republic of Lithuania.
The President of the Group of companies Freight Village RU Philippe Nyssen made a presentation on transport and logistics complex Freight Village Vorsino, demonstrated the project area development and answered questions about its infrastructure, terminals’ operation and the company's further development plans.
"We intend to actively support the economic cooperation between our region and the Republic of Lithuania. We are not politicians, we are developing the economy”, - said Anatoly Artamonov.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania also expressed interest in the economic and cultural linkages between Lithuania and the Kaluga region and stressed that many Lithuanian companies are already interested in cooperation with the region.
